Membership Has Its Privileges

This slogan of a well-known credit card is applicable to our Association. All members have certain rights and privileges.

1. Voting rights at all general meetings

The ability to provide input on the future direction of Saskatchewan Athletics is a fundamental right of all members. As a democratic organization, we are committed to responding to the needs of our membership.

2. Insurance Coverage

This coverage extends to athletes, managers, coaches, trainers, executives, general managers or officials if injured while participating in a practice session, game training camp, tournament approved by and under the supervision of proper authority of the Association or traveling as a group directly to or from such session. It also extends to assist in paying for accidental dental, tuition fees, emergency transportation, fractures and dislocation indemnity.

This coverage is "no fault" insurance. No liability or negligence is required to claim, only an injury during an insured activity.

3. Program Support

Our programs reflect the perceived needs of the membership. Organized active members have a greater opportunity to influence what programs are offered.

The success of programs is evaluated either on the quantity or quality of athlete involved. Increases in either area will be reflected in the priorities of the Association.

4. Incidental Support

As the sport governing body for track and field, Saskatchewan Athletics can access support from other agencies. Through the Sport Science Project, we can provide seminars on nutrition, mental preparation, biomechanics or any other topic. Through Sask Trust Lotteries, we can provide financial support for hosting regional and/or national competitions.

5. Discount Support

All Saskatchewan Athletics members receive a 15% DISCOUNT OFF REGULAR PRICED MERCHANDISE AT TRACK & TRAIL NEXT DOOR TO SUNSHINE & SKI, 4403 ALBERT ST. S., REGINA. You must show your membership card to receive this benefit.
